Sleep deprived and day dreaming again

Sleep deprived as I totally could not sleep as I'm hot but the weather is freezing, and I keep peeing every 15 minutes or so. *Is this the curse of pregnancy? 6m2w now, so going to toilet every freaking minutes are tiring, and my body ache. I can't sleep!!*
Gosh. So, not a time waster, I spent my night thinking / day dreaming about my new hobby on sewing.
I was thinking to purchase a yard of minky fabric, as well as making a matching set of baby stuff.
Like blanket/bib/burp cloth combo. Or blanket/mitten/boot/hat combo. Oh gosh the possibilities are endless!
Yesterday I was sewing machine hunting, I wanna buy one that have embroidery and also usual stitches built in, so I would not have to buy two of them, but oh my god, the price!
* How cool is to get a set of blanket and stuff, with your son/daughter name monogrammed on it? So cool! Just like this *

Minkyboutique's pillow

Singer's are like RM3000 above, and so does Brother.
So I'm comparing the Singer's Curvy 8870 model which to me suits me fine, but, since the embroidery is small and not that pretty, I reconsider my choice.

Singer's Curvy 8870

Next, I try to look at Brother's sewing machine, and it's more expensive!

Swoonn. Brother's NV950

And then I came across some website claiming they are selling the Brother embroidery and sewing machine for 50% off, that is from RM3999 to RM1999!
Oh goody, is this a sign??
I'm currently begging hubby to buy me one, if they are still in stock, and pls pray that they are still in stock!!
Oh woohoo!
And another thing, the house is ours too!
The land lord is going to inspect and see if there's anything he need to do to the house, and the latest we will probably get the house on Sunday!
Plus, the rent is the same as mine is now. Freaking cheap wey. I got this flat, buck ugly, smell flat for RM350, 2 bedroom, 1 store and 1 toilet/bathroom.
But this house is 3 bed, 2 bathroom and one of the bathroom is in the master bedroom!
Granted, nothing in it, only sinks and basic stuff, but I'm happy enough.
But I will be travelling to and fro, however his work place is in my way, so I'll drop him off and go to work.
I probably be boring there since S is not there, so I guess the sewing machine came in handy this time around. *I'm a planner, I really like planning my ways around. :) *
Oh wow. Life is such a roller coaster.
S is the one who supposed to rent elsewhere, but suddenly I'm the one moving.
Will be buying the sewing machine if its available. And put a great bent on hubby's credit card.

Tomorrow, I'm going to Kuantan with hubby, mom and brother. We're going to visit relatives there, and I'm going to a small reunion with my ump buddies. BBQ night!
I can't wait to see them, and gossip the night away!
On top of that, I know I'm blessed with a good fortune, and I know whatever I want, I'll get it, in any other way, and the result, is a blessed in disguise usually.
So, be thankful for those moments, when you think life fail you, but its not, just prepping you up to some bigger stuff.

P/s : Do you think I can sew? I'm not sure either. I used to sew small items, small dolls and the like, but never big stuff. Mom is excited and asking me to create beddings, pillow and the likes. Brr. I don't know, I'll like to play around first. And maybe, later I'll sew and sew and sew during my confinement period of two months. Who knows if I'm good at it, I may even sell it! :)

Sewing again?

Freaking cute blanket from minkyboutique.

Oh my, as I'm online browsing for things that baby needs (or mummy wants) I come across minky blanket.
It looks soooo luxurious and cute. But the price is around RM135-165.
Oh wow.
So, I look online for the fabrics, but unfortunately can't find one in Malaysia.
So I look further for those that shipped internationally and I found this:
http://theminkyboutique.com
I'm not even sure whether I'm going to purchase a whole yard just to create one, but it's a possibility since it's cheaper that way, huh?
And, I found that for 1 yard it will be like, RM30, so the minky blanket should have 2 sides, which means if I want different styles, I should buy 2 yards of different prints, and I basically have 2 blanket.
The price will be RM30x2 + RM20(shipment, estimate) = 80, which is, half of the price!
Well, but since they are doing a great job sewing and those lil stuff, so I guess it worth the price.
:)
I don't even have a sewing machine. Oh well. I saw one in Singer which looks adorable and could make a mean monogram. Which is perfect for those customization blanket. Or burp cloth. Or diaper. Or whatever.
Omigosh I'm having a totally creative moments without even stuff to do. Day dreaming again, or am I going to make this a reality?
Oh well. The Singer is RM110 per month for 2 years I think, and the yards are looking pretty.
Maybe I'll start small and end up big, and could work from home.
Maybe.
Oh well. We'll see about this, or maybe I'm just day dreaming again...

Plus, we maybe *again those maybe word* shift house, as hubby's friend going to move out and we probably move in, this week! But I'll keep you posted about that. Since hubby hatesss living in flat, and he really wants to live in house, with yard and so on, I guess we'll move, if he's not into procrastination mode again. *Which he did with the last 50houses we went through...*
So, pray for us that this will be the last house I will house hunt for!

Selamat Hari Raya~

Hi peeps!
Hopefully not too late in wishing all Happy Eid everyone!
Spent my Eid in Sarawak, and woohoo, we had fun, only dampen by hubby falling sick on first day of Raya!
Suckssss.
So, on First Eid, we woke up super early (remember here is 1hour early? Yes. Sucks. )
Then we start eating and change to nice cloth and bring bags to the local mosque, and pray the Eid prayer (first time for me! A huge milestone!)
People look at me weirdly, and then my good nature sis in law introduce me as boy's bini (hubby's wife) and they warm up instantly! Like when you press a switch and the bulb is on, yes just like that.
Their frosty demeanor thaw, and welcome me to their embraces and stuff and asking me lots of questions in their language. Great cause I know they are very friendly, not so as I don't understand most. *It's my first day after all*
Then after the prayer everyone hugs and kiss and shake hands, and saying sorry and so on. I spotted hubby and make a beeline to him after that.
We stay to chat and some of the people asked me and him to come to their house *eventhough I do not know their name.*
Then we went to his nini *granma* house and we ate kek lapis and drinks carbonated drinks.
Then we went back.. and fall asleep most of the afternoon cause hubby is sick and I'm accompanying him.*not that he need to. XD *
Then we went to an open house, his uncle house, and we ate rice with meat and eggplant, then I ate mi soto, and ate and ate and ate.
I think the last 7 days of my life in Sarawak is basically where I ate and ate and ate and ate, with carbonated drinks to add more sugar in my blood.
I did not take a single picture. I took 3 pictures of the house, cause my sister asked me to wassap it to her, then na da. I did not take our first raya together, I did not take of the beautiful arts of cakes, I did not take the beautiful beaches when I touch down, I did not take the picture of house that is so freaking big it could easily fit my home, 10x. I did not take pictures!
So there. Don't ask me bout pictures...
I guess I'm too absorbed in having a good time, a great holiday, that I forgot to snap away.
I had fun there, so many interesting people, places and things to do, books to read.
I even enjoy the chores of putting in and out of the goats. Freaking cute baby goat and freaking scary papa goat.
I even had massages! But to help to make my uterus go up a bit. I have no idea how to tell you this, but my uterus dropped too fast *maybe I'm too active* then, it fucking hurts to pee, if I do the squat thing. So MIL brings me to this bidan, and she massage me, asking how many months and all, so I answer 6, but she said it's too big! She said it's probably 7 months now. Zzz.
Baby, please don't be so big that I get traumatized.
But the baby is freaking nice to me right now.
At night if he's too active and I asked him to slow down and sleep, he eventually slow down and let me sleep!
But he'll be very active when I'm working.
Even when hubby is hugging me, he can feel the baby kicking and moving, he's so impressed that he made 'haa!haa!" sound each time the baby is kicking. Freaking cute.
Oh well, I need to go. Tell you later all the fun stuff!

Pregnancy progress : 6 Months!

Oh yes, time flies!
I'm currently 2 days shy off 6months, and I'm not gaining any weight.
It's bizarre and my nurse and mom are now asking me to up my intake of this and that, but I'm just not gaining any!

Last checkup on Tuesday, I even lost 2 kg, when I supposed to gain 2 kg! So the nurse whisked me away to see the doctor, and other than I'm losing weight, the baby and my body pretty much is in great conditions. I feel a surge of emotions when I saw the baby on the scanner *he looks so much more as a mini baby now, not just a blob here and there* and he was very still during scanning, but otherwise, before and after the scanning, he was freaking active! Playing around in his mummy tummy. My blood pressure, hb, pulse, everything is good! The uterus is now 24cm, an additional 5cm from last 3 weeks!

And a lot of my friends telling me my skin now much more cleaner than before. Like those pesky pimples? I'm losing them as fast as I'm writing this, nearly all pimples gone, and only left those redness thingy. They are asking what product I'm using and all, but truthfully, I don't use any product at all. Apart from darlie, dettol, and shampoo, I think I stop using most of the things I used to love. Those eyeliner and lipstick all have been crying to get my attention, but I'm too lazy to do it. :D Maybe today when we are going out during iftar I will don them :)

My bump is now more pronounced than before! Before I think I just look veryyyy big, but now, look more like pregnant mom. Tsk. Yet, most of my office mate just know that I'm pregnant. And they are thinking I'm 3 months along now. Oh wow. Don't I look like a preggers? I guess it because I'm fat. Tsk tsk. But hubby saying I probably lose all the extra weight fast, since I don't gain much now. *a glimmer of hope*

The baby bump. *oh proud momma!*

This morning during sahur, I've asked hubby, on whose eye will the baby take, his euro style eyes or my cat eye, and he told me confidently the baby will have his pretty eyes, his nose, his lips, but the baby will get my skin color. And when I asked why, he simply said, cause he's a boy, he should take after his dad. *grin*

Oh bless. I've been married for 9 months, and carrying baby for 6 months. The marriage, although we are full of doubts before, we are more comfortable now. We still learning how to deal with each other *he's a saver, I'm a spender* and we don't have energy to fight much. Cause, at the end of the day, you know he's going to be there, and it's not like he's going to leave any second now for somebody else. The insecurities are still there, but not as much, and so far we still try to be honest with each other. *except I'm buying another book yesterday when I already spent 200 on books just last week. :p *

Oh well. Time flies really fast. It still haven't sunk that I'm going to be a mother, but I'm proud with my baby already. Hopefully I won't turn into those cool people turns to lousy people keep on talking bout pregnancy and baby all the time. Amin. :)

Well, this all for now, back to work, and I hope to finish everything before I'm going back to Sarawak! Weee~

DIET : Cookies Raya Recipe : Honey Cornflakes

The yummy honey cornflakes!

Hi all,
Yesterday I made this honey cornflakes for Raya and some of you asked if you could buy from me, but since I'm not well enough to make too many (aka, I'm too tired to sit for a long time), so I'm posting this recipe for all of you other!
Enjoy it piping hot!

Ingredients:
1 cup honey
1 cup fried nuts
4 teaspoon sugar
250g butter
2 of those big cornflakes boxes

How to:
1. Fried the ground nuts until golden. Leave until cool. Once cooled, dispose the shells.
2. Pour honey and sugar inside frying pan (the biggest you can find) and stir until all the sugar dissolve
3. Pour in the butter. Once melted, pour in the fried ground nuts.
4. Drop the content of the cornflakes boxes and stir them all!
5. Drop them into cute cupcakes holder
6. Bake for 10-15 minutes on 170' setting (for my oven, you may have different setting, try it out first or you ended up with charred cornflakes..like my first batch did)
7. Let it cool and put it away in storage box!
_____________________________________________________________

Bahan bahan:
1 cawan madu
1 cawan kacang tanah(digoreng)
4 sudu gula
250g mentega
2 kotak besar cornflakes

Cara Cara:
1. Goreng kacang tanah hingga keemas-emasan. Bila sejuk, buang kulit. (ramas2 & tiup. Keje paling leceh tp best!)
2. Panaskan gula dan madu, pastikan gula cair
3. Masukkan mentega. Bila dah cair, masukkan kacang tadi.
4. Masukkan cornflakes, and kacau rata2.
5. Masukkan dalam cup kertas bunga comel2
6. Bakar dalam 10-15 minit dgn kepanasan 170' (lain oven, lain setting. Oven sblom ni, setting dia 200,20 min, oven y ni walaupun comel, tp panasss. So, kejap je bole masak dah)

Nyummy!
Selamat mencuba!
InsyaAllah sy upload biskut2 lain jgk nanti :D

Accident happens, again!

The car wrecked. Boo-boo

I was supposed to follow my brother and brother in law to Shah Alam last Friday, however I cancelled it because my granma lives alone at my mom's house, and my mom went to Mersing for her job.
So on Sunday, my brothers are supposed to be back on from Shah Alam, and they left about 9pm.
At 12+pm, they are at Pagoh and suddenly there's a car that my brother didn't notice before, he swerved to the right lane, and there's a lorry in front of him that he swerved back to the left and he hit the divider.
And the car, a total mess, a total wreck. Boo hoo.

But since both of my brothers safe with a few minor stitches and scratches, so thank you Allah for your kindness and miracle.
Esp when we haven't finish grieving over our dad yet, this is truly a jolt to our life.
However, my brother in law is truly shocked by the accident that he is now in fever, while my brother is extremely at ease with himself, even karaoke-ing with us yesterday. Zzz.

Another 13 days to go for Ramadhan.
This year I'm going to Sarawak, hubby's kampung to celebrate raya.
This is the first time I will be going there and we are going to have doa selamat too as I haven't properly introduced there. *kinda weird with me 6 month pregnant. *

I'm going to start making Raya cookies today, probably start with Honey Cornflakes first and move on later.
Weee~ Those are my fav, and I need to start looking for recipes too, so I could have something to munch on at my own house. Can't really depend on mum, but, isn't mom's cookies/food/anything the best?

Oh well..
I'm going to post on some recipes *including my famous choc chip recipe!* later.
Cause I'm too tired to take orders this year, so, I'll let you guys try it out!
Have a great day everybody, and stay safe!
