Life in a month: recipes, mini getaway and getting ready for Ramadhan!

Hey peeps!
Several weeks update, cause I'm lazy like that.

Last four weeks:
Hello there!
We had fun this week.
Lots of cooking, cakes and what not.
I cook chicken porridge on Monday , Mushroom soup and cheese toast on Tuesday, Lasagna on Wednesday, chocolate cakes with icing on Thursday, and Friday - .
Cik Keyaan now freaking active, and was missing daddy as daddy went on boys holiday on the weekend.
Last night, he finally could sleep well and not waking up every hour.
Me and my bff ate out on Saturday, and as we put Cik Keyaan on his chair, he put one leg up, and I snap a pic!

Recipes as below:

Chicken Porridge with side egg

300ml Chicken broth
Strips of chicken
Spring onion
Fried onion
Egg
Rice
Salt and pepper
1 onion, minced
2 garlic, minced
Oil

Heat the oil in rice cooker, throw in the onions and garlic and translucent, then put in the broth, and the rice.
Wait until it fully cook.
Serve with egg, a sprinkle of spring onion and fried onion.

Mushroom Soup and Cheese Toast

Cheese toast :

Get a french bread, slice into 2cm thick, put the cheese on top of the bread and bake.

Mushroom soup:

Ingredients:

I use three different mushroom, the usual white one, the black/brown tip and the shitake.(300gram)
25 ml Heavy cream
500ml Chicken broth
2 large onion, chopped
3 garlic, chopped
3 tsp butter
salt and pepper.

Get a large pan, and melt the butter in it.
Throw in the mushroom for about 8 to 10 minutes, next put in the garlic and onion.
Once the onions turn translucent, put in the broth.
Simmer for another 15 minutes or so, next, blend half to 3/4 of the broth (I blend all, because I can't follow a simple recipe).
Then, put the blended broth in the broth again, heat it up and pour the heavy cream.
Ready to serve.

Baked potato

Ingredients:

4 flat potato
Half cup spring onion
A cup of cut up hotdogs
Cheese
Salt and Pepper

Boil the potato until they are soft but not breakable.
Cut the top open, and scoop the potato out in a container.
Mash it up, and put in the other ingredients.
Spoon it back in the potato and put some cheese, salt and pepper, and baked for 15 mins, depending on your setting.
Ready to serve.
(The above pic is the left over of the potato jacket, which we just baked in another pan)

Lasagna with mushroom, beef and spinach.

1 packet of minced beef, roughly 300g
100g spinach
150g mushroom
1 packet lasagna
1 bottle of prego sauce
1 large onion, minced
2 garlic, minced
Oil

In a pan, heat up some oil, and put in the onion and garlic.
Next, put in the minced beef until it turns brown.
Put in the mushroom.
Lastly, put in the prego sauce.

Wash the spinach and dry it.

Cheese Sauce.
Heat up 150 ml milk, and pour in 4 tsp of flour. Whisk.
Put in 50g or more cheese, Whisk.

Take some of the beef sauce, put in it a shallow pan, next line the lasagna, and the beef, spinach and cheese sauce.
Layer until you have at least 3 layers.
Baked in oven for 35 minutes, depending on your setting.
Ready to serve.

Chocolate Cake with Frosting

Ingrdients:
200 gram Flour
150 gram Sugar
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Bicarbonate
75 gram Cocoa powder
175 gram Butter
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
125ml Milk

Mix in butter, sugar, egg, milk .
Once nicely incorporate, put in the flour, cocoa, vanilla, baking soda, bicarbonate.
(Or since I'm lazy, I put everything in the mixer and blend it all together)
Next, put in the pan and baked for 35 minutes, depending on your setting.

Baked Spaghetti

I just made spaghetti, toss it in prego sauce, put some green peas, put it in a pan, put some meatloaf on top, sprinkle the cheese, walla~

Last three weeks:

We went to Batu Layar, Johor on Sunday.
We did BBQ and went swimming for hours!
We went to beach spontaneously, so there's a lot of thing we didn't pack!
Like knife, towel, fire starter for BBQ, utensils, toys for Cik Keyaan, plates, cooking oil and such.
But we did have a blast!

Here's some of the pics we took the other day:

Arrived at destination and took pics of us! Cik Khyru is trying to work out the BBQ.

Us after all the swimming

I gave Cik Keyaan his first cucumber to eat and then he played with it..

The wrinkle toes.

Cik Keyaan with Daddy

His cute giraffe swimmer.

Sandwiches. Yums...

The other food that we bbq.

Last two weeks

Cik Keyaan got his bunny, Tiramitu from my sis, Khadijah.
He love it, now always hugging him when he's sleeping.

I craveee for Nasi with Durian.
My late Dad loved nasi, santan, gula and durian so much.
Once he's gone, no one else make it anymore.
But I did.
And it was amazing after nearly two years without it.
I'm going to do it again.

Last week

First day was a lot of kuih, cendol, kathira, n my mom made nasi with daging sate.

We watch Despicable Me 2.
I taught he's going to sleep or cry.
He did neither!
He freaking loves it.
He sit on me like I'm a plush sofa, and watch the whole movie!
OMG.

So yeah, that's all the update for a month.

Out and about on Weekend~

Hello world.
On last weekend we did not go back to my hometown.
So what we did on those weekends off?
First, we went to buy breakfast, with Keyaan in the carrier.

He obviously like the carrier.

Halfway back, he falls asleep.
Maybe all those rocking motion...

Next, we are playing some hide and seek (me hide, he'll seek) and he's happy that I did not send him to the nursery.
There's nothing wrong with the nursery *I've checked, twice*
But it just he wants me to be there. 24-7. Haiz.

He's giving the cutie smile so I'm not mad at him after puking a lott on my blouse.

So on Sunday, we went hiking to Gunung Pulai.
But since this is the first fucking exercise I had in a year or so, I give up as early as I can.
Hubby, of cos, don't have the same problem.
As I'm wet with sweat, he didn't sweat at all...
=.=
So the stroller is an old recyler from my sis. Tehehe I will never buy new. Muahahaha.

He just wake up in time to look at his sweaty mommy.

Us. Muahahaha, beza orang fit dengan tak fit. =.=

This guy is mad cause its too hot...

Back home, he's going to fall asleep, and smile as I'm taking his sleepy face...

Life...in general, after a year..(again)

Assalamualaikum & good day everybody!
Gosh another year pass by us so quickly!
Last year, I wrote this after one year graduating from UMP.
So, after 2 years graduating and a year and a half working, this is a new list I came up upon to remind myself to be grateful, again!

1. I had a beautiful baby boy!
The name is Keyaan, weights 2.28kg during birth, and now weights a lil over 4kg.
In another 6 days he will be 3 months.
I admit the first one and a half month is quite boring as he just sleeps all the time.
Now that he's more responsive, giggling and cooing, its more fun!
He loves going out, talking in his own language and a camwhore at heart.
He fits right in!
I don't know whether he knows it or not, but I hate kids.
And so, he is the sweetest kid around cos he cry only when he wants to eat or too sleepy or when the water is cold during bath time.
Other than that, he's pretty fun to have around.

Mommy with Keyaan having fun!

2. The hubby.
I'm blessed with this one. Very helpful!
He tidy the house, tidy up after I cook and we ate, he take care of the baby so I could get enough rest and bath and so on, he's there through my breakdowns and of course when I'm up.
I'm blessed with this guy and could not imagine myself without him anymore.
For my birthday, he bought me an Iphone 5 and a house.
I feel so grown up getting a house.
Thank you hubby for being the best! <3 p="">

Daddy trying to cut Keyaan's nails cause I'm scared to do so.

The two boncet boys watching tv,

3. My performance, for two years in a row, is excellent. Nuff said. :)

4. The youngest and only lady who receive best engineer in engineering in Engineering Hall of Fame.
There's 12 engineers all together, and I'm the only one lady and the youngest of all.
That, my dear, is a personal best.
I've saved more than 50,000 USD last year for my project, and I'm going to save more this year, you can count on that alright!

5. Gain silver belt (Green belt) in IQP less than a year.
It took me 4 months of solving and 3 months of sustain. Woohoo.

6. House.
Finally a house to call home!
We have been searching for one for nearly two years, and we finally found one that both of us like.
Its quite huge actually, 24 x 65, and the its a second hand home, but we saved a lot there!
The previous owner have done all the wiring, extended the kitchen, fully tiles, and add in a laundry room.
There's also four rooms, and 3 bathroom.
Hubby said he'll give me permission to add a bath tub to the master bathroom. Weee!
And he also gave me a room for my stuff.
Which meansssss, I could serakkan everything!
Weee~~

7. Business.
Oh yes, my other baby is finally out!
All the creative side of me is emerging. LOL.
I have preorder baby clothes and toys, fresh flowers for occasion, diaper cake or newborn cake, hantaran and so on!
Totally love it, and gaining customers slowly.
:)

8. Insurance.
Owie such a grown up stuff I used to think.
But I'm going to have one as if anything happen to me, I still have something left for my family.

9. Directly reporting to manager.
Do you know that junior engineer could only reports to senior engineer who reports to principal engineer who will reports to manager?
Yeah I kinda skip all that and directly reports to the manager.
How cool is that?

10. Iphone 5.
I. Love. it.
^___^

11. Blessed, blessed, blessed with friends and family.
Anything you do, this is the most important thing!

My plan for future:
:: Probably getting a master and apply for lecturer.
:: Probably open my own shop, at pasar malam or bazar karat first.
:: Have a home office.
:: Threw party at home
:: Bug my brother to pick me as his wedding planner.
:: Get best of best engineer again.
:: Go holiday!
:: Have fun!

A year after graduating...

Has it been a year? Unreal. But it is. It's been a year since I've graduate and I've come a loooong way.

So many things changes, and here's some of the list, just to remind myself to be grateful!

1. I'm a graduated student, who at the time of graduating, I've been working full time as an engineer for 3 months. I'm blessed!

2. I've been to US to work and training in less than 3 months working. Company new record! Usually they send people over 6months period.

3. My department exist because I've joined in. Before this there's no department like mine, and only me working in this department. Bliss.

4. The best boss and Head of Engineering? Possibly!

5. Recognize a great worker less than a year working, done!

6. Got a confirmation a month earlier? Done!

7. Get married with the sweetest man? Done!

8. Provide Dad and Mom allowance (just like they did when I was not working) and make them proud of me? Done!

9. Get two new best friends! (Syida and Winnie) oh double blessing!

10. Got recognition at work, personal congratulations from Head of Engineering and most of manager recognize new junior engineer within 6 months? Yeap! Cross that bridge alright!

11. Dad died... Sad, but at least he's no longer suffer from Chemo. Not so blessed, but in a way, I'm happy for him. I'll just pray hard for him. And I'm sure he'll proud of me wherever he is. :)

12. I'm pregnant! Woohoo. Triple blessing with my friends also pregnant at the same time. Meaning I have few friends to bitch about pregnancy. Lol

13. My salary gets a hike. Blessed.

14. Got to supervise an intern, when I started here being an intern. Wow. I've come a full circle.

15. Inherit 3 and half acre land. Will do something to it! Wait for it.

16. I'm pregnant with baby boy. How blessed. Since I've always wanted to have a boy first. All my families are saying he is replacement for my dad. For me, my dad will never have to be replaced. Just another small angel to see me through the day. Thanks, Ayah.

17. I'm healthy with no complication. Usually those who have extra weight are hard to get prego. I got it easy. Plus, my blood pressure and sugar are normal (until now). Hopefully it will be until I gave birth. Amin.

18. I lost contact with few people that I used to care. But being friends with them zapped my energy so much that I just don't mind losing them. I don't feel like I want to be a dump hole for every single problem they have, and I guess if they don't bother with me, I'll be better off with my new friends~

19. I'm in love with Flower Farming. Oh gosh, don't let me start. I'm still planning on what to do with the land. And I'm blessed enough that my hubby and brother will help. Woohoo.

20. I'm having fun. Lots of it. Finally after thinking I won't be able to, after previous year being so deep in dump. These days, I just enjoy things as they are. Having fun is much more on my priority.

Oh there's so much more lil blessing in my life. But for now, 20 is enough. Gosh. It's been a year. Well. I'm truly blessed with whatever I'm having now, Thank you Allah for all those blessing. :)
