Weekend post : Keyaan's first fever!

Tsk tsk.

So last week, Keyaan was learning so many things!

Each day, there's one thing he showed us and we were surprised!

First up, he now can hold his own bottle *when he wants it*

The next day he flip on his own from lying down to tummy down.

Next day, he just flipping from lying down, to tummy down, to lying down again.

Gosh!

We have a gift from a friend of ours who gave us this Krabi shirt.

On weekend I put on his Grovia cloth diaper. 

It's freaking cute!

He fall asleep while holding his bottle. Good boy!

Then when I want to do chores, he just stare at the fan till he fall asleep. No idea what's so fascinating on the fan. Movement?

Then I went shopping with Syida. Bought lots of new tudung! :D

In the evening Keyaan had a high fever and become so cranky!

My hand ache as he nurse non stop till 4 am.

At 4 am, I asked his daddy to feed him cause I wanna sleep!

Zzzz.

I put on Kool Fever, and the next day the fever goes down a lot!

I'm a happy mom!

I'm seriously considering another business.

I'm bored with my day job. 

Zzzzz...

Things I want to make for my son

A long, long time ago, I bought a sewing machine.

Until now, I still haven't use it much yet.

But I have dreams people!

I wanna make lots of things!

So here is some of the list I wanna make and some tutorial (from other people, not me) as well!

The List:

1. Memory quilt

2. Cloth book

3. Ball, ball and cube

4. Dolls/Toys/Felt food

5. Cot bumper

6. Curtain

And of course, curtains for the house!

I can't wait for the house!!

Now waiting for all the documents done...Zzzz~

Mini Mini Holiday!

Hello everyone!

We went to the beach and a small mini holiday last weekend.

Keyaan had an eye infection and fever from Sunday till Friday and I'm glad he's kinda okay during our holiday.

I had to took a few days off as I can't sent him to the nursery with eye infection.

So he was extra clingy and cry everytime I went somewhere. 

It was frustrating as well as tired!

Have no idea how people could have lots of kids.

Respect!

So we went to the Batu Layar beach on Saturday with Syida and her hubby. 

We ate Nasi Ayam that her hub cook for us, ate ABC and some tit bits.

Yummy!

Too bad the chicken too few....

Anywayyyy..

Keyaan loveeeee the beach!

Only once he did cry, but that because the wave is strong and it suddenly hit his face.

After that.... he's like a fish in the water!

After all the frolicking. He wore his Carter romper and Grovia in grey. I loveee the Grovia!

After cloth changing and wore the batik to sleep in his rocker.

The beach! Freaking prettyyyyy.

Next stop, Malacca. 

We went to meet Yenn and Fendy and Zayyan!

Zayyan was bored with our antics I guess..

And Keyaan is definitely going to swim someday...

Before we went back, we met with Nad, Yenn's bff.

She's now 6 months pregnant but the stomach is still so small!

Next we went to those museums around Malacca.

I love history. 

Does that makes me a dork?

Well I don't care anyway. 

Keyaan is more interested in those dolls behind us.

Next we went for a walk at Jonker street. Notice how Keyaan likes to look out intently.

We had lunch at 4pm, at Dutch restaurant.

I had a sirloin steak, watermelon juice and mushroom soup.

Khyru had chicken chop, ice lemon tea and pumpkin soup.

While we were eating, the shop waitress ask if she can hold Keyaan.

We said of course.

I think this is the forth time going out for eating and people wants to hold Keyaan.

She even ask if we want to go for a walk so she can take care of Keyaan. 

But since we are heading home after that, we said next time.

So since Keyaan is having flu since the weather is keep on changing hot and cold, we apply a traditional remedy for him.

We swaddle him first, then we made a paste from live turmeric and a lil bit of cooking oil and put it on his nose. 

He slept soundly after that!

Keyaan playing tepuk amai amai with me while Khyru put the paste on.

So that's our story this week!

Now off to work and reality.. 

Day 1 and 2 : Sleep training for Baby K.

Ahhhhh... The elusive sleep. Whenever I talk about sleep training, all my friends / family were saying the baby too young, if he cry too much he'll get gassy, you're doing harm for him, he just wants to cuddles.

But I'm pretty sure my baby is smarter than me.

He KNOWS that I'm not around, he can play happily.

But when I'm around him, he cry, and cry and cry, so that I hold and cuddle him.

He can't sleep without his rocker, as if he have problems with sleeping but he didn't actually. 

I know he can sleep well without being cuddles and rock to sleep.

But my mom and my granma totally ruin him with all the cuddles and smoddles.

I don't mind during the day when he play happily. 

But not during his nap time.

The method I chose:

Cry It Out (CIO)

Yeah I know all the attachment parenting parent will gasp in horror, but I do not left him to cry all night  long. 

Nor I just leave him shut in his dark room alone for a long time.

I periodically check him in 10 to 15 mins interval.

Well, whatever works for your family then :)

Day One.

So since this week I'm not going home, I decide to sleep train him.

I decided to have a bedtime routine for Keyaan.

It consists of:

Him playing until I saw him rubbing his eyes. That is the first sign he's sleepy.

Next, bath time. He don't really enjoy it, but it calms him down.

Next on to the changing mat, and I put on his diaper, and massage him a lil bit.

Next, last feeding. As soon as he start falling asleep, I'll take off the bottle, burp him, and put him in his crib.

Next, I'll read him two stories from his bedtime story book, and recite Al Fatihah and the 3 Quls.

Lastly, I kiss him and said good night and Assalamualaikum and close the door.

He'll be drowsy, yet as soon as I close the door, the crying will start. 

And on and on and on.

Since we sleep trained before, I left him crying until 10 minutes. 

Then I went in and check on him. Patting him, soothing him, and magically, he stop crying as soon as I enter the room, just sobbing.

Sorry mista, I have to let you down tonight. 

So as soon as I went out, the crying starts again. 

I'd check again after 15 minutes and he still sobbing. 

Nearly another 15 minutes later, I nearly give up.

He haven't stop crying and I'm gonna bawl myself out too out there.

Before I gave in, the crying stop. I couldn't believe it.

So I waited another 5 minutes, then I check in.

Lo and behold, he was sleeping like he didn't scream his lungs out.

Even his Daddy can't stand it and went out. 

Tsk Tsk...

He woke up at 3 for his night feeding and he just whimper a bit before he fall asleep.

He woke up again at 7 happily gurgling and cooing, so no hard feelings there.

Ask him to pose for granma, and he just make this face....

Day Two.

Okay, again the routine. 

However during his playtime (and our mealtime) I took off all his clothes, only left the diaper.

He was playing around, lying down when suddenly he moves to his side, and a few minutes after that, he's fully lying on his tummy, except his hand was a bit stuck. 

So, I unstuck his hand, and suddenly he was on his tummy, and he was happy.

I then went to prepare his bath, and when I came out, he was trying to crawl to me.

Stinking cute kid!

Well then next I did his routine, and this time....

*drum rolls*

He cry intermittently for 20 minutes.

20 minutes people!

That's half of day one!

I'm feeling positive.

And at 4am night feeding, he didn't scream, he just called us.

When I did warm the milk, and when I went in, he was just playing with his monkey.

After I feed and burp him, I put him down, put his monkey pillow pet on him, pat him, kiss and walk away.

He continued playing and slept off in just few minutes.

Nearly 5 minutes later when I checked in, he was sound asleep.

This morning, I woke him up at 6.45 and he was happily cooiing and smiling.

Made my day!

So yes, I'll update on it from day 3 to 5.

Out and about on Weekend~

Hello world.

On last weekend we did not go back to my hometown.

So what we did on those weekends off?

First, we went to buy breakfast, with Keyaan in the carrier.

He obviously like the carrier.

Halfway back, he falls asleep.

Maybe all those rocking motion...

Next, we are playing some hide and seek (me hide, he'll seek) and he's happy that I did not send him to the nursery.

There's nothing wrong with the nursery *I've checked, twice*

But it just he wants me to be there. 24-7. Haiz.

He's giving the cutie smile so I'm not mad at him after puking a lott on my blouse.

So on Sunday, we went hiking to Gunung Pulai.

But since this is the first fucking exercise I had in a year or so, I give up as early as I can.

Hubby, of cos, don't have the same problem.

As I'm wet with sweat, he didn't sweat at all...

=.=

So the stroller is an old recyler from my sis. Tehehe I will never buy new. Muahahaha.

He just wake up in time to look at his sweaty mommy.

Us. Muahahaha, beza orang fit dengan tak fit. =.=

This guy is mad cause its too hot...

Back home, he's going to fall asleep, and smile as I'm taking his sleepy face...

2 jenis manusia yang tak di fahami.

Oh yes, blog ni dalam bahasa melayu. 

Salunya aku akan tulis dalam English sebab nak improve English aku.
But they don't deserve it.

Sangat tak paham dengan orang orang sekeliling ni.

Boss kau puji2 kau? 

Head of Engineering personally puji aku and adjust performance aku as excellent.

Again, so what?

Aku pakai dress, kau pon nak pakai dress. 

Aku beli itu, kau pon nak beli itu.

Aku pakai contact lens, kau sangup jadi buta kejap untuk sama tak perlu pakai specky.

Sama tak muka kita?

Aku pelik kenapa nak sama semuanya.

Belajar lah.

Kalau suka sangat kat aku pon, tak payah la hilang identiti kot. Chill.

Keyaan, TV and sleeping.

Hi there!

Good day.

Today since I'm bored with waiting, decided to post about Keyaan and his sleeping habit.

So this guy could sleep anywhere, and could sleep 6 hours straight at night. 

He usually nurse at 2am, and will continue to sleep till 7am.

He likes to sleep in his Fisher Price rocker (pstt, you can buy here: here)

Next, Keyaan and his fascination on TV.

This is Keyaan, watching me, asking to change the channel

Once the channel is changed, he happily watch the show if it's up to his liking.

This is the golden hour where I can do chores.

This is Keyaan, fall asleep after the he's bored/sleepy with the show. 

Notice the remote beside him.

It's not like he can change it by himself...

Okay that's all about Keyaan  + sleep + TV.
